i have heard a lot about giving children who have autism fish oil. does anyone else do this? can you provide me with details on the type of oil you use, the brand and such. the behaviors before giving the fish oil, and the changes in behaviors after?
ive been thinking of starting my 3 year old son on fish oil, but i am a bit leary. any thoughts or advice is appreciated.
My son is autistic and he needs more help than the local school district provides. We live in a small city and there are no other schools designed to help children with autism.

When I send my grandson to his room he will destory it. It takes him about a hour to get over his tatum.
I know that was a weird way to ask, but I was trying to keep the question short. I’m trying to compile a small list of commonly used PECS symbols (boardmaker symbols, whatever) to creat a small book for myself, to keep in my files of ideas to work with children with autism and other disabilities. I’m striving to be a teacher in this field and am collecting whatever I can learn right now, through work and the internet, and was wondering if anyone knew where a list of common symbols are. I have a sweet little boy with Autism (PDD-NOS),and I was wondering if there are any parents out here that have their children on a gluten/wheat, casein/lactose, refined sugar, yeast, free diet? What other foods seems to trigger their behaviors? As a mom, Ive taken these things out of my sons diet, and I’ve noticed improvement. IF so, have you noticed any signifigance in the improvement of your child’s behavior? I would like to hear from you.

Is there an organization for children or adult with severe autism that they can live in? Possibly affiliated with the state, has case manager in Kent, WA area? It’s like an apartment like type of setting. If so please provide the name and contact info if possible, thanks.
I have a 6 year old son with autism and I am trying to find funding for him to attend a school for children with special needs, including autism, here in Louisiana that will help him tremendously. I found the perfect school but it is almost $6000 a year. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Why do we only see younger children with autism? Why arent there older people with it 40′s 50′s and so on? Im 21 and Ive never heard of anyone with it except for 2 yr olds over the last couple of years? Something seems wrong with this picture
