Im now living in SC and want to go further up North. My daughter is pretty high functioning, I have no idea where to start. Would like to keep her with ABA if possible.
(BCBA certified). I mean the person who writes programs and assess the child initially, etc. I’m in the field and deciding where I want to be for the long term (in school or in home), but I want to find out an idea of salary for in-home. Or, if you don’t know salary, then how much per hour do you pay to work with your consultant?
My husband and I are still in shock but we need to everything possible to help him. How do I hire a full time ABA specialist? What do I look for? Do you know about a pay scale? Any information will be greatly appreciated. If you have not delt with autism in your life and you do not work with autistic children please do not reply. We are upset enough.

Our 4 year old son was recently “officially” diagnosed as having autism. We’ve been doing speech and OT therapy for almost 2 years, but methods like ABA are not very accessible here in north FL – there are just too few therapists in the area. We’re considering where we might relocate to obtain additional treatment / therapies, particularly when he starts school next year. Any information on experiences in your area and local school district is much appreciated. Thank you!
