Do you know a child affected by Autism?
I am a pregnant woman concerned about the rise in Autism. I know of three different families with children who have been diagnosed with Autism and I can’t help but wonder why are there so many more Autistic children these days. For those of you who children with the disease or know parents of Autistic children – what is Autism attributed to?
Many are attributing Autism to vaccines but there seems to be alot of controversy about this theory. What does everyone think?
Its something having to do with our modern lifestyle and way of living. It has to be an outward cause, such as the disgusting state of our food, our overall health as a nation, or the massive amounts of lead, mercury, plastics and other toxins that exist in the environment and that are pumped into our pregnant women and children.
It seems unlikely that it would be genetic.
I personally believe it has to do with the things we put in our bodies.
I know a few autistic children, I don tknow what theyre attributing their cases to, but all of them were born healthy and functional, expressive, interested and interactive, and suddenly by 1-4 years of age it all changed.
Well, I think the “autism” diagnosis is being thrown around more and more if they can’t find another diagnosis. For a little while, I thought my son had autism, but when I started putting the symptoms together, it started to sound more like ADHD.
Now, I do have a cousin who is autistic, and I’ve worked with people who are autistic. I know they are genuinely autistic because of their tendencies. There are so many different “levels” of autism. High functioning, low functioning, or somewhere in the middle. There can be different symptoms for each different level. But autism seems to be the “go-to” diagnosis when nothing else comes to mind anymore. Kind of like Bipolar Disorder. That’s another “go-to” diagnosis.
No one really knows what causes autism. It could be something in the womb, it could be something the mother did, it could be something the child got as a baby (like vaccines), it could be many different things that cause it. I think most of it has to do with what I explained up there. Like the above answerer said, the American lifestyle is changing with every passing day, and that could certainly play a part in how many children are diagnosed with this disorder. There are many different factors that play a part in the percentage of children being diagnosed with a certain disease, it’s hard to pinpoint just one.
Personally I do not think that autism is caused by vaccinations, cleaning products, or anything like that. I believe that either a person will have autism, or they won’t. I think this is a disorder that is embedded in the DNA before a person is even born. And yes, my brother-in-law is autistic. My family tries to rationalize and find anything to blame but genetics, but I just don’t think there is a rational explanation for this.
i really don’t believe Autism is due to vaccines. and you also have to remember there’s tons of different forms of Austism. 2 of the more common ones is Asburgers and Pragmatic Learning Disorder. both of these types of Autism are extrememly mild and child grow up normal, look wise, health wise and learning wise. it’s just learning how to control it, W/O the use of medication ect.
my old roommate’s ex husband has Asburger’s and it’s a VERY successful nero surgen. his fault it that he has to be in control or every minute detail that happens, if he can’t control it he gets upset. and everything has a proper place and orderit MUST be labeled alphabetically left to right sorted by color catagory type size and shape
my nephew has pragmatic learning disorder, which can be confused with ADHD, which he also has. Most Autisic child will also have ADHD. with his P.L.D though things he’s verbally told doesn’t compute into his brain. you can tell him over and over 1+1=2 but he just can’t make the connection, BUT if you write it down he will remember it. he also won’t eat anything thats broken, or is touching something else.this child is amazing though. he gets on these learning jags that are amazing, for an entire year he was hooked on star wars, he learned everything possible about star wars down to who even did the special effectsd for the movies… he can tell you EVERYTHING about the movies. he will get interested in a subject and learn everything possible!
My brother (now in his 40s) has Asperger’s syndrome. My cousin’s ex has 3 children with autism (including my cousin’s son). My bro had no vaccinations before the age of 1 and clearly had indications of autism, but they didn’t know what it was then. Two of my cousin’s ex’s kids had NO vaccinations at all before their diagnosis. Japanese investigators were the ones who figured out that autism was evident even at 2 months old (using home videos). That is why they are now looking at a prenatal environmental cause.
Japan actually discontinued ALL vaccinations for kids for 10 years with no drop in autism. They reintroduced them and there was no accompanying increase in autism. In the US, they discontinued the use of thimersol in vaccinations intended for children – no drop in autism.
Our population is now 6 billion with the accompanying increase in pollution. Seems to me that we should expect an increase in mental illnesses.
