I like to learn about autism, adhd, tourettes and trichotillomania. What is a good major/career choice for me?
Career fields/majors in helping children/adults with autism, adhd, tourettes etc. Not teaching them. Counseloring maybe.

Hi, I have Asperger’s Syndrome and didn’t know it, until well into my adulthood. I wonder if there is therapy available for adults on the Autism spectrum? I don’t date because of the very fact that I am not acclimated to the Human Touch. This means that I can get sensory overload on what other people would regard as basic physical affection. Are there reliable therapies available, to let Autistic adults join the dating world in a functional fashion?
I am not that old nor am I young. But they say the diagnosis of autism had increased dramatically over the last couple of years. I do not recall no one with this disease when I was kid. But we did have some bad kids. Do you think this is a real disease or just a reason to justify bad behavior?
And how to get rid of autism?
What is the difference between the two? When does autism turn into “Aspergers”?
Researches have proven a fact that most autistic children are boys. There are girls who have it to but not as much.
Does anyone know what causes it?
Thanks for the answers.
I have a brother who is “high functioning” but, on his paperwork, it says “mild autism” could it be aspergers? what is really the difference between these?
I was just wondering…what do you know about Autism Spectrum Disorders? (I know a lot, just want to know what others know) This question is especially important since April is Autism Awareness Month.
I will provide a lot of info after the question is done. Also, just a note, I have a form of Autism myself, called Asperger’s Syndrome. (hence the name “AspergersKitty”)
I feel I am very different from most people, and I have pretty much every trait of Asperger’s Syndrome. I just don’t know if it’s worth it to get diagnosed. By that I mean, how can I benefit from an official diagnosis? Is there anything they can do to help?
By the way, I’m a 24 year old college student.
I know of high and low functioning autism, asperger syndrome, PDD-NOS, Rett’s syndrome as autistic spectrum disorders and I once saw someone use medium-functioning autism on the internet but the encyclopedias do not list it. Does it exist?
