Where does Pervasive develpmental disorder stand on the autism spectrum?
My oldest child has been diagnosed with this and I am trying to find out as much as I can. So if there is any one that can help. PLEASE I’ll gladly welcome it.

I have been talking to care staff that work with an autistic man, who is siad to be getting worse autistically.
The mans mother claims that in the past, he was able to ride a bike, go out for walks, run, play and so on when he was a child.
However, his mother claims that it is because he is on medication today and that this is why his behaviour has got worse with time.
She would like him to come off medication.
His dose of medication has been reduced, but not much of a behaviour difference has been observed by the staff.
As I understand it, AS and Autistic disorder remains unchanged in its magniture through out life. But there are variables that can make its effects more or less noticable, such as adolescence and becoming an adult.
In many cases, as such people grow to become adults, I hear reports of a decline in such behaviour.
Can this condition become more or less severe in terms of brain structural damage?
If so, why?
I am only 19, and usually very timid and passive. However, this man’s comments set my blood boiling. I thought he was not only discriminatory to families dealing w/autism, but towards other things as well. What is the best way for me to react to it? Write a letter? Call?
My kiddo is five and is diagnosed with autism. I am looking for others to chat with.
I don’t care if it makes a hole. She can’t do buttons and thereforce can’t wear jeans like other kids. On other pants that don’t have metal buttons, I can put a button on the outide of the pants (with glue) and then put a snap on the inside. But those metal ones are too hard to remove. Someone said use a hammer but I’m not sure exactly what was meant. Need instructions that are more clear. Thanks. Rosie’s mom.
So far I have developed information about the two, but no website I checked gave the definition.
